Rare and Retro Sports was founded in 2021 by Eddie Powell.
Eddie had a lifelong passion for soccer, both on and off the pitch. In a career that took him from England at the age of 18, to the United States, he transitioned through youth and high school soccer - eventually captaining an NCAA Division I College team. Professionally, he went on to own a Soccer Shots franchise, help grow the Soccer Shots Franchising brand itself, and lastly, help manage and grow the U.S. adidas Soccer business.
Although he enjoyed many areas of the soccer business, Eddie loved the apparel side, especially jerseys. After deciding to leave adidas, and after help and advice from his good friend Matt, Eddie decided to start Rare and Retro Soccer and share his love of retro, classic, and vintage jerseys with supporters of all kinds.
Rare and Retro now has a permanent store in Little Five Points, Atlanta, GA, pop-up shops in Charlotte, NC, and Chattanooga, TN, and a growing online presence.
This venture wouldn't be possible without the support of his amazing wife and kids, friends, family, Rare and Retro team members, and fantastic customer base.
We hope you enjoy shopping our collection and thank you for visiting our site!
There was a time when you couldn’t just show-up with the pitch ready for play. You had work to do. There were no “groundsmen”. The nets needed hanging. There was dog poop that needed scooping up. The corner flags needed to be dug-in. And guess what? You wouldn’t change a thing, would you?
But thankfully, on match day, you can be the fan you were meant to be.
Our mission is to bring the most rare and vintage jerseys in the world to those who still remember the moments that made them fans for life.
“Relive your most memorable moments, whatever they may be.”
